The Honda CR-Z, a unique car that’s not for everyone
I’ve owned over 20 vehicles in my life, mostly because I get tired of them quickly. It’s a bit ironic that I absolutely hate driving, but if I have to do it then I want a fun car to distract me. The CR-Z feels like an oversized go-cart, and it’s 6-speed manual transmission is a godsend in a world full of automatic transmissions.
Almost gone are the days of two-door coupes, and the roads are filled with SUV-ish vehicles and pickup trucks. I’m glad that I have one of the last little Honda sports car experiments, and to make it even better, it’s a hybrid and gets pretty good fuel mileage. I’m sure that I’ll drive it until it just won’t go anymore because every day I get behind the wheel, it feels like the first time – the excitement never fades.
I often hear, “You’re going to be sorry when the battery goes out!” Twelve years later, and the battery works perfectly, no mechanical problems, no repairs. I think that I made a good choice and I’d do it all over again.
